The Cleveland Browns. The Chicago Bears. Fans like no other. They bear the cold weather with their shirts off, and they are there regardless of how good, OR bad their team is. But how many other NFL teams, have die hard fans like this, that will brave the weather regardless of their teams records? Sure, the Patriots have die hard fans, and those fans showed up back in the day when the weather was cold. But what about the other 28+ teams in the NFL? Places like Miami, Dallas; teams in nice climates that don't get fans to come? I mean, whats that all about?
College football. A real sport. Almost 5 times as many teams as the NFL, and most of them sell out alot of their games. Rain or shine, ice or snow...the fans are there. Not just a few of the schools fans, but all of the schools fan. Winning or losing, the fans are there. And not only are they there, they are excited to be there. Their team could be 0-11, and they are excited to go to the game. And its not just them, its the other 70,000 fans that are at the game too. I mean, look at pro sports. If a team is winning, the fans show up. If a team is losing...the games get blacked out because they can't sell enough seats. You dont' see this in college football. Everything is so intense.
