The Rules & Calculations
 
 

Rules:

 - Each week there are 7 games and 2 Tie Breakers that CFB Media Chooses for fans to pick.
 - These are straight up picks, not against odds.
 - Each member must choose a winner of all games and tie breakers to be eligible for that week.
 - Each member must have their picks emailed to us NO LATER THAN THURSDAY 3 PM     (CST).
 - After Week 4, there will not be any new members added to the list. This is done to make sure all     members are picking about the same amount of games and weeks.

***Note: Not all games will be big games or popular schools.***

Calculating Points:

4 Points will be awarded for each correct pick.

Tie Breaker points:

 

Tie Breakers based on scores of game(s):
    9+  points away= 0 points added
    6-8 points away= 1 point added
    3-5 points away= 2 points added
    1-2 points away= 3 points added
    exact score= 4 points added

Tie breakers based on yardage of a game:
    100+ yards away= 0 points added
    60-99 yards away= 1 point added
    40-59 yards away= 2 points added
    01-39 yards away= 3 points added
    exact yardage= 4 points added

Tie breakers based on yardage for an individual:
    21+ yards away = 0 points added
    11-20 yards away= 1 point added
    6-10 yards away= 2 points added
    01-5 yards away= 3 points added
    exact yardage= 4 points added

Calculating the Weekly Score:

  1. Add points from each correct pick.
  2. Add Tie breaker points to pick total.
  3. Do step 1 and step 2 to get total for the week.

Calculating the Yearly Totals:

  1. Add Previous Yearly Total to the current Weekly Total.
  2. Divide Step one by the number of weeks picked to get an average

  1. The highest point total for the week wins that weeks bragging rights.
  2. Highest point total of the year, wins the overall bragging rights!
